Dr. Moon Jonghwan, Chief Aesthetic Director at Smile Dentistry Gubei, was recently invited to present at the Shanghai International Oral Health Exchange Salon — an event bringing together executives from dozens of multinational corporations and industry professionals. Dr. Moon delivered a keynote session on international aesthetic dental protocols and what expat business professionals should know about their options in Shanghai.
Two Programs Introduced: DSD and Minimally Invasive Veneers
Dr. Moon presented Smile Dentistry Gubei’s two flagship offerings for executives and high-profile professionals:
- International DSD (Digital Smile Design) — A structured digital workflow that designs your smile around your facial proportions and lets you preview the result before treatment begins.
- Minimally Invasive All-Ceramic Veneer Restoration — Using digital scanning and microscope-guided bonding to achieve natural, translucent results with minimal or zero removal of healthy tooth structure.
Dr. Moon emphasized that for executives regularly appearing in business meetings, media, and high-profile events, dental aesthetics is not just oral health — it’s part of professional image management.
Local Premium Care vs. Cross-Border Dental Tourism
A dedicated segment compared getting treatment locally in Shanghai against traveling abroad for dental work. Key points raised:
- Cross-border treatment may offer certain price advantages, but typically involves extended follow-up cycles, post-operative maintenance challenges, and high communication costs if complications arise.
- Local premium clinics like Smile Dentistry Gubei can complete preparation and temporary placement on the same day through digital workflows, provide microscope-grade precision bonding for long-term stability, and offer on-the-ground lifetime maintenance — with a bilingual team available when you need them.
Coming Soon: Executive Oral Health Package
Following strong interest at the event, Smile Dentistry Gubei will launch a dedicated Executive Oral Health Long-Term Management Package for expatriate leaders and senior executives of multinational corporations. The package will include regular digital oral health screenings, DSD aesthetic evaluations, and personalized maintenance plans.
