Smile Dentistry Gubei has introduced the iTero 5D smart intraoral scanner at our Digital Center — replacing traditional putty impressions with fast, comfortable 3D digital scanning for patients seeking clear aligner treatment and aesthetic restorations in Shanghai.
Say Goodbye to Traditional Putty Impressions
If you’ve ever had a dental impression taken with silicone putty, you know how uncomfortable it can be — the gag reflex, the foreign-body sensation, the wait. The iTero 5D eliminates all of that. Its lightweight, slim scanning tip glides through the mouth comfortably, capturing high-precision 3D digital models in just minutes — completely contact-free and comfortable, even for children and patients with sensitive gag reflexes.
Same-Day Case Submission
The iTero 5D delivers exceptional scanning accuracy, clearly capturing gingival margins, interproximal contacts, and occlusal details. Once the scan is complete, data is submitted directly to leading clear aligner manufacturers — including Invisalign and Angelalign — with a single click. No physical model shipping, no delays. This means shorter waiting times from consultation to aligner delivery.
Visualize Your Future Smile Before Treatment Begins
One of the most popular features for our patients: the iTero 5D includes an integrated smile simulation tool. Right after your scan, you can see a step-by-step preview of how your teeth will move throughout treatment — showing the full transformation from your current state to the projected final result. It’s a great way to feel confident about your treatment plan before committing.
For the Whole Family — All Ages Welcome
Located in Shanghai’s Gubei international community, Smile Dentistry Gubei serves expat families, international school students, and local patients of all ages. The iTero 5D is especially well-suited for children and adolescents, making orthodontic assessments fast, hygienic, and stress-free.
